There are very interesting aspects, perhaps more implicit, that I had not taken into account. Thank you for that point of view and for the course in general. It has been very interesting both personally and professionally!

Learning about the Psychology of Migration (whether as a migrant or a professional who helps migrants) is as beautiful as it is necessary.

The training far exceeded my expectations. It allowed me to better understand my own migration process and at the same time prepare myself to support other migrants from my role as a psychologist. The material is very clear and accessible, the resources used illustrate the concepts precisely, and the bibliography is broad and enriching.

Additionally, I loved the way they expanded the content and resources over the course; you can tell it’s a training in constant evolution, built also from the feedback of those of us who participated.

The course was truly invaluable to me. I migrated two years ago, and since then, I've lived in three different countries, with three different languages and many processes in between. This training has allowed me to delve deeper into the theoretical perspective and more fully understand the entire migration aspect.

Furthermore, for the past four months I've been working with patients who have migrated or are about to migrate, and this course has been very helpful in supporting them better.

This course has been very important for me. Although there are many articles on the topic of psychology and migration, there are few training courses. Thank you very much for the feedback on the final exercise. It was extremely helpful. I would like to stay in touch with you to further improve my work with migrants, as I would put it into practice daily in my work.

I just finished the online course and wanted to provide some feedback. I found it very understandable, with excellent bibliography and clear explanations. I myself am giving training on this topic and I was pleased to see that we mostly agreed on the topics covered. Thank you very much, I really appreciated your training.

Your course has helped me a lot to organize my mind, better understand my own migration process (I myself am a returnee from London), and develop strategies to face my upcoming sessions. It has been very valuable.

The course has been wonderful for my training, and I've already been able to apply some of my knowledge to migrant patients. The concepts have made a lot of sense when put into practice with immigrants. Thank you very much for this training.

It has also been useful on a personal level, helping me understand the transgenerational impact of some family migration processes. I better understood the history of my family and how this impacts/implies me on a personal and identity level. It also brought relief to some of my perspectives on the topic, and now they have names and explanations. It's been wonderful to rediscover this migrant aspect of individual and family identity.

In Spain, I feel weird when I say I'm fed up with the sun and blue sky. Or when I'm joyful during gray rainy days. However, in my previous life, before moving to Spain, the year had 4 seasons. The cold, the gray, the mud, the falling leaves were part of what was normal to expect throughout the year. For me, the gray skies and the cold still bring up smells that feel like home, it connects with coziness, joy and sweet memories.

"You're the only one I can talk to in Barcelona", a Russian student once told me. He didn't know I was Easter-European too. But there was something in the way I looked, in my attitude, in the straightforwardness or my ironies that I found familiar. I reminded him of home.

Home has so many nuances for each one of us. And not being or feeling home involves so many processes of grief, acceptance & adaptation. When one migrates, the entire concept of home needs to be rebuilt, mixing old and new elements. The entire "who I am" ends up redefined. One learns to live with ambivalence as part of the daily routine.

Thank you to Volvemos.org and Migrant Minds for the opportunity to learn so much during your Migration Psychology course. You put labels to feelings and sensations that seemed illogical at times. A beautiful course designed for those who work with migrants, or are migrants themselves, helping them better understand the emotional impact of migration.

To all of you who created the Migrant Minds course.

Thank you very much for your feedback on my exam. I agree with it and found the analysis of strengths and weaknesses very interesting; I think there is always room for more learning.

I found the entire course very interesting. This has been a very intense journey, firstly because it expanded my knowledge, as I am a Social Worker with extensive experience with Migrants and Asylum. Secondly and most importantly, I enjoyed this training for I am also an emigrant who left Spain, like so many others, during the 2009 crisis. I saw myself so reflected in some parts of the course and its readings that I got emotional on many occasions while reading. My migratory grief has been very difficult.

Once again, I’d like to thank everyone at Volvemos. I’ll always follow you. You made me feel like someone is thinking about my return to my home country, something I'm also considering.

Kind regards,
Carmen Seguer

I wanted to congratulate you and thank you for all the information you have provided. The course is phenomenally designed and organized, the content is comprehensively in-depth, and, personally, it opened my mind and heart.

I am a final-year student of the Master's in General Health Psychology. I am Italian and have been in Spain for five years and lived in Paris for one year. For me, the course has been very educational, both professionally and personally. As a Psychologist, I reckon it is important to get educated on this topic, as migration is a very common phenomenon today.

It helped me a lot to delve deeper into the points addressed, the examples of real cases, the detail in the information regarding migration itself, the individual and the environment, and the development on return, which is an idea I had not analyzed before in detail, yet it is super important.

The course met my expectations. I think it is a complete course and helps to keep in mind the context and variables that are important when accompanying migrants, considering their particularities and the moments in which they may find themselves.
